Big names keep coming through town

Two quick notes:

We continue to have great people playing local venues.  Sometimes the musicians have a one-to-ten ratio with the listeners.  I'm told that was the case at the Ten out of Tenn tour which recently played the Black Sheep.  One of the musicians was Erin McCargle who's now on VH1's top 20 list.  Another was Butterfly Boucher who has been the opener for Bare Naked Ladies.

Another interesting Black Sheep-to-big-time note - Tech 9, who played there on April 14 and also back in January, will be playing Red Rocks this summer.  Yes, it's the nasty rap you wish your kids hadn't memorized (they,of course, know every word) but I think it's fascinating that we can have an act that big in a local venue as small as the Sheep.

On another local interest front - I want to know how the lawyer Clifford J. Enten got William Shattner to do his ads!  Yes, it obviously involved piles of cash, but is Shattner really still in the weird, local ad business?  He would seem to have transcended that ages ago.  I'm gonna find out.

If you want to post a comment, go to the bottom of this post, where it will give you no clue how to do it, and click on the nondescript word "comments".  I know it's dumb.
